Shop Your Values
Every purchase at Threaded Collective supports survivors of human trafficking and exploitation while keeping quality clothing in circulation.
Jennifer Olson
Founder's Story
Threaded Collective was born out of a deep conviction that what we wear matters — not just stylistically, but ethically. After learning more about the realities of fast fashion and its ties to exploitation and trafficking, I knew I couldn’t keep building a business that ignored those truths. I wanted to create something different: a curated secondhand boutique that offers a beautiful, elevated shopping experience while directly disrupting the demand for harmful production practices.
Beyond secondhand clothing, we intentionally carry home, gift, and jewelry items made by survivors of exploitation around the world — products that represent dignity, restored opportunity, and meaningful work. Every rack and every shelf is designed to prove that style, sustainability, and justice can live in the same space.
Why We're Different
Secondhand + Impact Driven Products
At Threaded Collective, we believe fashion can be a force for good. Every purchase you make supports survivors of human trafficking and exploitation while keeping quality clothing in circulation.
We're more than a secondhand boutique—we're a community committed to shopping with purpose and creating lasting impact.
Supporting Survivors
A portion of our profits directly supports local organizations working to provide safe housing, counseling, and job training programs for survivors of trafficking and exploitation in the Lynchburg area. When you shop or sell with us, you're helping fund critical resources that change lives.
Championing Ethical Artisans
Beyond secondhand fashion, we carefully curate ethically made goods from artisans around the world. These partnerships provide fair wages, safe working conditions, and economic empowerment to makers who craft beautiful, quality products. Every handmade item in our store represents someone's livelihood and dignity.
Protecting Our Planet
The fashion industry is one of the world's largest polluters. By choosing secondhand and keeping quality clothing in circulation, you're helping reduce textile waste and environmental impact. Every item we sell is one less piece in a landfill—and together, we're proving that sustainable fashion can be stylish, affordable, and accessible.
